Student musicians with an intermediate / advanced skill level who audition. 6, 2-hour rehearsals to prepare a new musical work by composer Vince di Mura (Princeton University) that combines traditional Chinese instruments and traditional Western instruments. The creation and rehearsing of this new composition, created especially for the student musicians will be performed publicly at the end of the session with a potential encore performance to celebrate Chinese New year.

3.普大文森教授作曲班 Song Writing Master Class。6, 1.5-hour master classes with up to 10 students focus on understanding what makes a song great, and the techniques of writing quality songs. The class will examine great songs from every era of American pop song writing. Students will create their own music and perform in class. The collection of songs will be workshopped with input from the teaching artist (Vince di Mura) and fellow students, culminating in a public performance at the end of the session. The performance will be documented, and each student will have access to the audio/visual documentation of their songs. This is a pilot class, and is very likely to continue after the first session.
